Website information

Privacy notice

Last updated: 25 August 2026

This notice explains what information may be collected when you contact WakuWaku Ryoko through this website, why it is used and the choices available to you.

Information you choose to provide

A contact form or trip planner may collect your name, email address, WhatsApp number, country or region, approximate travel dates, party size, route and accommodation preferences, accessibility or dietary requests you choose to share, and the message you write. An online-meeting booking also collects the time you choose and the contact details needed to send the confirmation. Please do not submit passport numbers, payment card details, medical records or information that is not needed to plan or answer your enquiry.

How enquiry information is used

Information you provide is intended to be used to reply to your request, understand your travel needs, arrange a requested conversation and prepare relevant planning information. It should not be used for an unrelated purpose without an appropriate basis or further notice.

Enquiries and online meetings

The production forms send validated requests over HTTPS to WakuWaku Ryoko’s Wix backend. Private Wix permissions are not embedded in the browser. An enquiry displays a reference only after Wix confirms the form submission. A meeting is rechecked against current Wix availability before a free booking is created and confirmed. Pre-deploy review versions do not create live enquiries or bookings.

Trip-planner drafts

The trip planner does not save a draft automatically. If you choose “Save Draft,” route choices, dates and broad preferences are stored in that browser for up to 30 days. On your next visit, the planner starts clean and offers the saved choices in a “Recent trip” card; you decide whether to resume them or start a new trip. Children’s ages, priority and additional-request notes, and contact details are excluded. You can delete the saved draft from the planner at any time. After you review the planning brief, the planner can submit it directly to the secure enquiry connection; it does not require a second contact form.

Package-tour preferences

Package-tour controls keep broad choices such as party size, dates, hotel level, transport and optional services in temporary session storage so the page can restore them after a reload. Dietary, accessibility and other free-text requirements are not included in that saved configuration. If you continue to the main enquiry page, the selected package brief and contact fields are carried through temporary session storage and removed after that page reads them.

Optional analytics and advertising measurement

The renovated site asks before loading optional analytics or advertising measurement. If you reject optional measurement, the site does not load its Google Tag Manager or directly configured Meta Pixel scripts. You can change this choice at any time using “Privacy settings.” The choice is kept in this browser so the site does not ask on every page.

If you accept, the site may use Google Tag Manager to support Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement, and may use an approved Meta Pixel configuration. Measurement may include the page path, referring website hostname, campaign parameters such as UTM values, advertising click identifiers, the contact channel selected, the first interaction with an enquiry form, and whether Wix confirmed an enquiry or online meeting. Names, email addresses, phone numbers, WhatsApp numbers, travel notes and form-message text are not included in browser measurement events.

With permission, the first and most recent campaign details are stored in this browser for up to 30 days and may be included in the secure Wix enquiry context when a request is confirmed. This supports reporting by platform, campaign, landing page and contact channel. Search engines may separately provide aggregated natural-search queries and page performance through their webmaster reporting tools.

Website storage and service providers

Wix provides the enquiry, scheduling and related business systems used for these requests. Essential hosting and security functions may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser type and requested page. For abuse prevention, the backend keeps short-lived rate-limit records using a one-way daily hash rather than the raw IP address; it also keeps a non-readable request hash and Wix reference so an exact retry does not create a duplicate.

Retention and security

Enquiry information should be kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, provide agreed travel services, meet legal obligations or resolve a dispute. No internet transmission or storage method is completely secure, so only the information needed for the enquiry should be shared.

Your choices

You may ask about the personal information connected with your enquiry, request a correction or raise a privacy concern through the contact page. Applicable rights and exceptions can depend on where you live and the legal basis for processing.

Privacy questions

Use the general enquiry option and write “Privacy request” at the beginning of your message. Do not include identity documents in the initial message.
